Inspired, Empowered, Connected, Exposed Faith

When individuals are inspired to believe God, then individuals are empowered to action. When individuals are empowered to action, then individuals connect with others with like vision and mission. Exposed faith is when a person permits themselves to be inspired by God, empowered by God to act on that inspiration, and connects with other like minded believers to believe in the impossible. But what does exposed faith look like? In fact, has someone every asked you or you asked someone what does exposed faith look like?

Well, I was thinking about this for a bit recently, as we move through this pandemic as a nation. I asked God what does exposed faith look like? As I pondered and meditated on the word I started to see a picture forming of exposed faith. Moses exposed his faith when he left the palace to follow God. Who would of thought that a man living in a palace would leave his life of luxury to follow an invisible God? Yet, Moses did just that and as a result he inspired faith, empowered others in faith, and connected a people in faith to believe that they could reach the promise land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:17, ESV). Exposed faith moves individuals from slavery to freedom. Exposed faith takes a person out of their current condition and exposes who they are in Christ Jesus. In fact, have you ever run into a friend that you thought would never come to the feet of Jesus only to see them radically transformed and you say, “Wow! Who would have thought?”. It is important to note that the reason they came to the feet of Jesus was because someone was inspired by God to be empowered to expose their faith and connect with a Godly vision/mission to reach others for Christ.

Consequently, as the Lord placed this on my heart I received a phone call from a family member who lives in another state. This is a family member near and dear to my heart. I answered the call. As I heard her speak with a shaky voice I heard her say “I have been diagnosed with Covid”. I recall for a moment not really hearing the words as if my mind went numb for a moment. Then she said, “I want you to know that if anything happens to me I love you”. Tears started to roll down my face as I responded with exposed faith. I said, “Don’t say that! We are going to get through this together with prayer and faith”. I immediately exposed my faith as I prayed and encouraged her in her faith to believe in the God who answers when we call upon His name. The God who is our healer. Exposed faith denies the outcome of the what the world says and believes in the supernatural report of the Lord.

Exposed faith is inspired by God to empower us to connect with others, so that we don’t have to fight the battle alone. Moreover, one might ask, “How do we know it is inspired by God?”. Because His word says, “That faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17, ESV). Exposed faith says, “I am going to pray for the miracle”. Exposed faith says, “You are not alone. Exposed faith says, “We are going to get through this together”. Exposed faith says, “You are not hopeless but we are going to be hopeful in God who is Jehovah Rapha our healer”. Exposed faith says, “I am going to get through every battle, every situation, every circumstance”. Because I believe in the one who sent me. Because I believe in the one who shed His precious blood for me. Because I believe in the one who said “that we were made in the image and likeness of Christ Jesus” (Genesis 1:27, ESV). Exposed faith believes that the battle is not fought by human hands but by God who goes before us in battle because he has made us more than over-comers, more than conquerors in Christ Jesus and when we dare to believe to expose our faith we are victorious!

Today purpose to live a life where your faith is exposed for the world to see so that you can inspire others to hope, empower others to believe, and connect with others who will do the same and watch God transform and change the face of the nations.
